Seek 2025 - January 1-5 - Salt Lake City

SEEK is a collaboration led by FOCUS, a Catholic outreach organization that shares the hope and joy of the Gospel with the world. FOCUS missionaries encounter people in friendship, invite them into a personal relationship with Christ and accompany them as they pursue lives of virtue and excellence. The Archdiocese of Mobile will have a gathering at Seek this year. Hope to see you there. Want some more information?

For the month of September, the Padre Pio Ministry is collecting various pastas, sauces, canned meats, canned vegetables, lunch meats, and bread. Items may be placed in the bin at the entrance to the church. Please place bread beside the bin so it does not get damaged. Thank you for your continued prayers and support. In August, we gave out 32 bags of food and 41 backpacks/totes filled with school supplies. The leftover school supplies were given to Mary’s Haven to help their families in need.

Signed into law by Governor Kay Ivey on March 7, 2024, the CHOOSE Act makes refundable income tax credits available in an educational savings account (ESA) to pay up to $7,000 of tuition and related educational expenses beginning in the 2025-26 school year. The CHOOSE Act could have a significant impact on the enrollment and finances of Catholic schools. Attached is a flyer summarizing the details of the legislation.

The grief share group will begin October 21st from 5:30 to 7:30 PM in O'Connor Hall. Carmen Hilmes will be facilitating this weekly group. The cost will be $20 for the grief workbook, which can be bought through the parish office. Please sign up at www.griefshare.org.
